Optical fiber linear heat detector (LHD) is a continuous distributed temperature sensing system that integrates Raman scattering effect and Optical Time-Domain Reflectometry (OTDR).
The detector emits laser pulses into the sensing fiber, where backscattered light carrying temperature-dependent Raman signals is generated along the entire fiber path. By analyzing these backscattered signals, the LHD reconstructs real-time temperature profiles, enabling continuous heat detection and early fire alarm across the monitored area.
