American lap joint stub end is used with lap joint flange together. It is normally made by stainless steel material and welded to SS pipeline, so the flange only takes fastening work, no welding or fluid contact. It is often used for applications that require frequent dismantling, or corrosion resistant pipeline for saving cost.
