Sway brace structural adapter from TPMC is a specialized fitting for both rigid and non-rigid seismic sway brace systems. It mounts on the top or bottom flange of I‑beams or bar joists without drilling or welding, providing a concentric attachment point for superior seismic performance. Its thumb spring retainer enables fast positioning. Cone‑point set screws with break‑off heads provide visual torque verification. The integral mounting bolt at the back securely connects to the structural attachment or restraint clip.
UL Listed and FM Approved, this seismic sway brace component resists differential movement between sprinkler piping and the building structure during seismic events or other dynamic building movements.

1. UL Listed and FM Approved when the brace member is steel pipe NPS 1″ ~ 2″ SCH40. UL rated loads: 1500 lbs (1/4″ ~ 5/16″ flange), 1700 lbs (3/8″ ~ 3/4″ flange). FM lateral loads as shown – for longitudinal loads or brace angles 45° ~ 74°, consult TPMC.
2. This adapter can also be used as a cable structural attachment fitting for non‑rigid sway brace systems.
