Unshielded fire alarm cable (FPLP) is UL Listed under the FPLP category for plenum-rated applications. It features a simple, cost-effective construction without metallic shielding, making it lightweight and easy to install in standard commercial environments. Ideal for low-interference settings, it offers no protection against electrical noise or crosstalk, so avoid use near high-power equipment or high-interference areas.
Type FPLP power-limited fire alarm plenum cable is suitable for direct installation in ducts, plenums, and other air-handling spaces. It offers excellent fire resistance and low smoke emission. Tested to UL 1424 and NFPA 262 (Steiner Tunnel) for flame spread and smoke density.
