Alcohol-resistant aqueous film-forming foam concentrate (AR-AFFF) is formulated with C6 based fluorinated surfactants, hydrocarbon surfactants, polysaccharides and solvents, and it is environmentally safer. It produces a thin yet strong film on Hydrocarbon fuel surface, sealing the surface and preventing fuel vapor release. Polysaccharide film is produced when the foam solution comes in contact with a polar solvent, and the film acting as raft supports the foam blanket on the surface of the polar fuel.
Available size
Concentrate type | Concentrate % in water | Hazard hydrocarbon | Hazard polar solvent | Packing volume (L) | Ref. No. |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
AR-AFFF 3×3 C6 | 3% x 3% | Yes | Yes | 20 / 200 / 1000 | B9201 (UL/FM) |
AR-AFFF 3×6 C6 | 3% x 6% | Yes | Yes | 20 / 200 / 1000 | B9202 (UL) |
AR-AFFF 1×3 C6 | 1% x 3% | Yes | Yes | 20 / 200 / 1000 | B9203 (UL) |
Note: For concentrate % in water, it means 3% concentrate at solution for hydrocarbon fire, and 3% concentrate at solution for polar solvent fire.
